Getting Started with Instant Gift Cards

The Instant Gift Card feature allows HeyTaco admins to add gift cards to the Taco Shop that, when redeemed by emplotees, are sent to them directly by HeyTaco. No manual fulfillment needed.

There are two steps to getting started with this feature:

1) Adding funding to the gift card account

You prefund your account with HeyTaco, which becomes the amount available for people to redeem with gift cards. You can ask for a refund of unused funds anytime. Accounts are funded in USD, and if you offer international gift cards for your team, a USD equivalent of the local currency (according to the exchange rate at the time of redemption) will be deducted from the funding balance. You will never incur a negative gift card funding balance.

2) Curating gift cards in the Taco Shop

We offer over 1,900 gift cards for 100+ countries in our catalog, so as the admin, you get to choose which gift cards you'd like to offer for your team and in what amounts.

Gift cards are created and curated in your Taco Shop the same way as Custom and Collaborative Rewards. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to curate gift cards in your Taco Shop.

A few things to note:

• Gift cards are sent directly by HeyTaco to the email address people have associated with their Slack/HeyTaco account. If there are ever any issues with gift cards, HeyTaco offers support for resolution (they don't have to go through you).
• Since gift cards are sent automatically, all sales are final and the gift card amount is deducted from your overall funding balance.
