How do birthdays and work anniversaries get added to HeyTaco? 

Users are prompted to add this information when the admin first enables Milestone or when they first join HeyTaco directly in Slack, or they can add those dates  anytime via their profile settings. Admins can also edit this information on behalf of users on the Admin โ†’ Milestones page.

People can edit their dates, as well as opt out, directly in Slack.

Can team members edit their own birthday or anniversary? 


Individuals can go to their HeyTaco profile page and add their birthday and/or anniversary dates one time only. After that, any changes need to be made by the HeyTaco admin.

What if a birthday or anniversary is wrong or missing? 


If the birthday/work anniversary date is wrong, admins can view and edit this information on the Admin โ†’ Milestones. We recommend encouraging team members to check their own profiles to ensure everything is up to date.

Edit a person's Milestones by clicking Edit.
That will open up a modal to edit their dates directly.

If the birthday/work anniversary date is missing, it means the employee hasnโ€™t added their date. You can either send a new request (they will receive a direct message from HeyTaco), or ask them 1-1 to input their dates. If they donโ€™t want to be celebrated on their Milestone dates, they can opt out of both celebrations.

Requesting dates will send people a Direct Message from HeyTaco.

What is a Milestone falls on a weekend?


Great question! No Milestone will be left uncelebrated, so we will deliver the Milestone message on the Monday right after the actual Milestone date.

Right now, Milestones are delievered on holidays.
